The name Russian Caravan originates from the 18th century transcontinental tea trade camel trains journeying from India, Ceylon to Europe via Russia. A 6,000 mile journey took over 6 months and was harsh.
This blend is a very traditional and accurate example of what would have been drunk on the trains.
A blend of black teas described as aromatic and a full bodied tea with a sweet malty and smokey taste
The liqior is bright and smooth, excellent as an afternoon cup of tea
